Disaster Management Club addresses emergencies and disaster preparedness as an important component of disaster risk reduction and makes students and other stakeholders more resilient to disasters.
Every month, the club organises mock drills and shares precautionary safety measures with the staff and students.
Capacity development activities such as sensitization of officials, public awareness on disasters, training of students and teachers, pre-positioning of equipment for emergency response, creation of educational material on disasters, and monitoring of risk were carried out at different times in school.
Stepping Stones feels responsible for building a disaster-resilient society. An empowered, well-prepared, and equipped educational institution can contribute towards the generation of knowledge in the area of disasters, develop expertise in specific types of disasters, and impart training in different fields.
